Profile Mondays: Alex Honnold

Birthplace: Sacremento, California
Age: 28
Profession: Professional Climber
Height: 5'11

If you're unaware of who Alex Honnold is and you're not a climber, I'll forgive you. However, if you are a climber and still haven't heard of him, it's a little worrying.
Alex Honnold is the best free solo climber in the world today and could even be regarded as the greatest ever.

At 28 years old, he has already set numerous records, those of which includes becoming the first person to ever complete 'the triple'; Mount Watkins, Half Dome and El Capitan in 24 hours.

To put this into perspective, let me quote an extract from the video below.

"For most serious climbers on this planet, completing half dome in a day or two is considered fantastic. Alex did it in 3 hours... without a rope."

If you're not great with heights, prepare for sweaty palms...

It is no over exaggeration when he is referred to as the Michael Jordan of climbing - Alex is free soloing things that climbers rarely even attempt with a rope.

A legend in the making.

Keep it up, Alex.
